Dr. Sanjeev K. Goel
For more than 25 years, Dr. Sanjeev K. Goel practiced dentistry. As the sole owner and founder of West Chester Dental Group, Dr. Goel was dedicated to continuously expanding his dental knowledge for the benefit of his patients.
Dr. Goel started his dental education at Lucknow Dental School in India. He lived and worked as a dentist in New Delhi, India and in Saudi Arabia before moving to Cleveland, Ohio in 1989. Dr. Goel furthered his education at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine and then moved to Dayton in 1990 where he settled down.
He was very passionate about his family, work and life. Dr. Goel loved to travel, play golf and tennis, and he lived life to the fullest. Many described him as “larger than life” because he was always the life of the party. Those who knew him best knew that he spent his whole life helping others and always gave back to those who needed it the most. Dr. Goel built a beautiful and proud legacy for his family to follow – he will never be forgotten.
Dr. Goel passed away at home on Friday, July 14, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Renu, daughter, Sheenu, son-in-law, Rush, son, Nishu, and granddaughter, Arya.
Dr. Sheenu Goel, Endodontist
Dr. Sheenu Goel grew up in the state of Ohio and attended The Ohio State University for her undergraduate education. She then went on to Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, in New York City, where she acquired her degree in general dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Goel did a general practice dentistry residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL and then practiced as a general dentist for three years before pursuing her specialty in endodontics.
During her time spent practicing as a general dentist, Dr. Goel realized her passion was in root canals because she could quickly make patients feel better. To her, each root canal procedure could be so complex and challenging, yet exciting and rewarding at the same time. After private practice, Dr. Goel returned to Columbia CDM to pursue her specialty training in endodontics. At Columbia, Dr. Goel had an extensive education in didactic and clinical courses and enjoyed teaching endodontics to the undergraduate dental students. She prides herself on working hard to be a clinician who not only provides excellent care in root canals and root-end surgeries, but also is able to use her knowledge from general practice to help patients make sound decisions about their treatment. Through her vast clinical training at Columbia, Dr. Goel can help the most fearful patients feel at ease and relieved of discomfort.
Dr. Goel likes to stay very active and involved with organizations and giving back to those in need. She worked with various programs in Chicago and New York during her training such as St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, Thelma Addison Adair Dental Center and Cook County Hospital to provide care for the under-served. Dr. Goel was also active in student government as she was secretary of her class and also on the personal relations chair for the American Association of Women Dentists. She was involved with dental research throughout her training and became the secretary for the Jarvie Research Organization at Columbia CDM. Dr. Goel is a member of the American Association of Endodontists where she has presented research and won accolades and she is also a part of the American Dental Association. During her free time, Dr. Goel enjoys spending time with her husband and family, working out, watching Buckeye games, cooking, and reading.
Dr. Rush Davidson, Orthodontist
Dr. Rush Davidson wanted to be an orthodontist from the time he was in junior high. Once an awkward boy unwilling to smile or laugh without covering his teeth, Dr. Davidson’s life and personality were transformed by braces! His dream going forward was to be able to positively change the lives of many children and adults through orthodontics.
Dr. Davidson was raised in the hills of Nashville, TN and graduated Cum Laude from Furman University in 2003. After college, Dr. Davidson moved to New York City and earned a DDS from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine in 2008. At the end of his tenure at Columbia, Dr. Davidson was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society for his outstanding academic achievements.
After dental school, Dr. Davidson served as a Captain in the United States Air Force Dental Corps at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, AZ. Dr. Davidson is very proud to have served his country, and in 2009 he was named the 56th Dental Squadron Company Grade Officer of the Year.
Following his United States Air Force service, Dr. Davidson returned to New York City and earned a Certificate in Orthodontics from Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2014. Dr. Davidson is a board certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an accomplishment attained by only a small group of practicing orthodontists in the country.
Dr. Davidson is a very friendly, caring and compassionate person who is committed to delivering the highest quality of care for his patients. Throughout his training in New York City and service in the United States Air Force, Dr. Davidson was involved in many outreach organizations to the underserved people of Harlem, Washington Heights, and the Bronx. The highlight of his service was a 2-week dental humanitarian deployment in which he treated children and adults in Guyana, South America. Dr. Davidson is an advocate of providing care to people who would not otherwise have access.
Beyond orthodontia, Dr. Davidson loves spending time with his beautiful wife Sheenu, family, and friends. He loves going to the movies, golfing, reading, hiking, traveling, and he is an avid sports fan!
Dr. Barry Simms, Periodontist
Dr. Barry Simms received his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Louisville in 1988. He went on to achieve his General Practice Residency at Miami Valley Hospital and his specialty training in Periodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Simms is a skilled clinician proficient in both surgical and non-surgical treatment modalities and is known for his caring and compassionate chair side manor.
He and his wife Robin have been married for 32 years and have two children and one grandchild on the way. In his spare time, Dr. Simms enjoys golf, anitquing and is an avid sports fan.
Dr. Lauren Zollett, Endodontist
Dr. Lauren Zollett is from Middletown, OH and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her undergraduate Bachelor’s in Spanish. She graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in Columbus, Ohio in 2011. She practiced as a general dentist in Washington, D.C. for 2 years before attending Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts where she obtained her advanced specialty training Certificate in Endodontics.
She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association and the Ohio State Dental Society. Dr. Zollett is actively pursuing board certification to be a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
In her free time she enjoys watching Big Ten Football with friends, practicing Yoga, and baking.
Dr. Kristin Abbas, General Dentist
Dr. Abbas, native to Ohio, received her degree in 2009 upon completion of her academic program at the Ohio State College of Dentistry in 2009. After the completion of schooling, she moved to Cincinnati, married her childhood friend, and began her dental career. With a compassionate, pain-free approach to dental care, Dr. Abbas works to give patients improved dental experiences, and helps them to overcome their anxiety about receiving necessary treatment. She also provides community service, working with the Remote Area Medical Team in rural neighborhoods, providing free dental services to underserved families.
Away from the office, Dr. Abbas enjoys the company of her husband, family, and friends.
Dr. Manjula Natarajan, General Dentist
Dr. Manjula Natarajan (Dr. Manju) graduated from dental school in India in 1997, she practiced dentistry in a well established hospital for a few years before following her husband to the United States. After coming to the US, she completed her two years of advanced standing dental program at University of California, San Francisco.
Dr Manju has been practicing general/family dentistry since 2004 in the Dayton area. She attends many continuing education courses to keep up with the latest in dental techniques to provide her patients with a beautiful and healthy smile.
She loves to travel with her husband and her two son's, Aditya and Akash.
Dr. Sophia Thankaraj, General Dentist
Dr Sophia Thankaraj graduated with her dental degree from India. She did her post-doctoral training in a general practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH where she earned her certification in conscious sedation. She served as Chief Resident in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at Miami Valley Hospital (MVH).
She is on Medical Staff at MVH where she holds a faculty position in the GRP Program. She works with Dental Residents to provide access to dental care for underserved and special needs patients in the community.
In her free time, she enjoys time with her family and global humanitarian efforts.
Dr. Pamela Kamolpechara, General Dentist
Dr. Pamela Kamolpechara graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2008. She was accepted into the Health Professional Scholarship Program with the Army and served five years as a general dentist for active duty members after graduation. During her service she was stationed stateside at Fort Polk, Louisiana and Fort Benning, Georgia. She was also deployed to Joint Base Balad, Iraq in 2010. During her service, Dr. Kamolpechara gained a wealth of knowledge from various general dentists and specialists in the Army.
After finishing her military commitment, the Worthington, Ohio native, decided to return to her home state and is excited to be closer to home. Outside of work, Dr. Kamolpechara enjoys running and cooking. Recently, she participated in the relay portion of the Flying Pig Marathon and the Air Force 10K.
Dr. Dong-il Kim
Dr. Dong-il Kim graduated with a bachelor of business degree from Fisher College at The Ohio State University (OSU) in 1999. He then graduated with a doctor of dental surgery degree from The Ohio State University School of Dentistry. OSU has been and continues to be among the top dental schools in the United States both didactically and clinically.
Dr. Kim understands the importance of continuing education. In fact, each year he spends a considerable amount of time learning new techniques and working on the art of dentistry. As a member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Kim is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality dental care and offering services using state-of-the-art technology. In 2011 he was selected as “The Best Dentist in America.”
When he isn’t at work, Dr. Kim enjoys golfing and watching his sons play soccer and basketball, but most of all he enjoys spending time with his family. Dr. Kim lives in Columbus, OH with his wife and three beautiful children (two sons and a daughter).
